As a human being, we carry layers of wounds in our soul, which have accumulated over the years since childhood and as adults. These layers create a fog in our mind and we become blurred to truth. Some wounds had nothing to do with us personally because they came on us through our parents and through the genetic lines of our ancestors. The nature and degree of hurt become layers with, depth and complexity. Each time a person works through the forgiveness and whatever else necessary to receive healing, they will remove another layer, which creates a clarity.
